Social Networking Sites or as called in our textbook SNSs for short, is one of the communication topics I find most interesting. Like the majority of the population I personally use Facebook and twitter to keep in contact with my friends who live in different countries. I find that SNSs have made it easier to keep contact, make new friends and to rekindle old friendships. SNSs also provide you with the ability to keep up to date with many trends for example music, news, artists etc. Another reason I find SNSs interesting is the growing popularity with the older generations. SNSs are accessible to everyone worldwide no matter what age group you are.

Hello my name is Jerry and I am a SNS enthusiast. I started in high school with Hi5 and then moved on to Facebook and MySpace when I started college. I gave up MySpace cold turkey when I realized that it was lame. Everyone was using Facebook more and more so it just made sense to stick to it. Now that every grandmother and pet are on Facebook, I am moving on towards Google+. That is all.

Harriet, I'm definitely a huge fan of Social Networking sites, particularly facebook.com. I grew up living in over 5 different countries and SNS's have allowed for me to keep in touch with childhood friends and even find a few long lost ones as well. Personally, I don't think that facebook is going to go anywhere, ever. The company is really innovative and will continue to improve their site and software to maintain and grow.
